What is a weather forecast?
Tells us about what the weather could be like tomorrow.
Give a definition of weather
When we talk about how wet, windy, warm it is during a day
Describes conditions in the atmosphere at a particular time.
Give a definition of climate?
The climate of an area is the kind of weather a place normally has over a long amount of time.
If an area gets a lot of rain we say it is a wet climate.

Temperature tells us how hot or cold the atmosphere is.
Temperature does not stay the same during the day.

Always in the shade at the same time every day.
What is rain measured by and how often must rainfall be recorded?
Measured by a rain gauge and must be recorded every day it rains.
What does the amount of rainfall affect?
