what is climate?
The climate is average weather conditions in a day, month or year.
what is weather?
Weather is a short-term change in the atmosphere.
what is high pressure?
High pressure is air that is more dense. This is when molecules are close together and wanting to move to low pressure areas.
what is low pressure?
Low pressure is air less dense. So molecules are farther apart.
what is the Coriolis effect?
the Coriolis effect is the rotation of the earth making the winds appear to curve.
what is a circulation?
A circulation is when water and air are moving in a circular pattern.
what is salinity?
Salinity is the amount of salt in something. (ex; water)
what is a rain shadow?
A rain shadow is a mountain that one side doesn’t get any rain and also is dry and the other side is wet and lots of rain.
what are climate zones?
climate zones are areas with distinct climates that can be defined by the weather patterns latitude or plant and animal communities
what is altitude?
altitude is the height of on object that is above ground (or sea) level
what is latitude?
latitude is the horizontal lines on a map or a globe that measures the amount to north and south from the equator where the location is
what is the meaning of wind?
wind is the movement of the air due to uneven heating of the earths surface
what is precipitation?
Precipitation is a part of the water cycle when water falls on to the ground it could came as hail, rain, snow, and sleet
