Hot, dry, sandy conditions

A
  • Liberally oil inside, dry wipe outside using OX24
  • Muzzle Cover, Dust Cover and Sight cover fitted whilst not in use
  • Fill magazine with 25 rounds to allow for build up of sand
  • At the local commanders discretion - make ready

  • Heavily oil outside and inside using OX24
  • Change SUSAT for iron sights
  • Watch for the rapid return of rust and remove

Extreme sub-temperature

A
  • Liberally oil inside and outside using OX24
  • Watch for the build up of snow and remove
  • Avoid breathing on the sights and side of the weapon
  • Check for rust regularly
  • Watch for working parts sticking/freezing
  • use stove naptha to defrost working parts
