3. Tilt the weapon to the right and open magazine pouch
4. Remove magazine and check top ammunition
5. Place magazine onto the rifle (pull to check it is in place)
6. Fasten pouch and return to the guard position

1. Into Alert position
2. Safety on
3. Change lever at ‘R’
4. Set sights to battle setting or range ordered
5. Cock
6. Tap forward on cocking handle
7. Forefinger along trigger guard.

Question 3

Unload procedure

1. Rife into horizontal position
2. Safety on
3. Open magazine pouch
4. Tilt weapon to the right and remove the magazine
5. Cock and hold
6. 7 point check
7. Bolt release
8. Tap forward cocking handle
9. Safety off
10. Fire
11. Safety on
12. Ensure sights are set to battle setting
13. Close the Dust Cover
14. Pick up ejected round and replace in magazine
15. Fasten pouch
