A wavelength is the distance between 2 successive points.
What is a phase?
A phase is 2 points in the same position, but on a different oscillation.
What is an amplitude?
An amplitude is how far up or down the wave goes.
What is the mean position?
The mean position is the line of rest (y=0)
What is a period?
A period is the time taken to make an oscillation.
What is an oscillation?
An oscillation is a wave going back and forth repeatedly between two positions or states.
What waves cannot travel through a vacuum?
Mechanical waves
What is a vacuum?
A place where there is no particles.
What waves can travel through a vacuum?
Electromagnetic waves

Longitudinal waves
