When per capita water supply is less than 1700 cubic meters per year, an area suffers from from water stress
What is economic water scarcity?
When a population does not have the necessary monetary means to utilize an adequate source of water
What is physical water scarcity?
When a physical access to water is limited
What is a drought?
A prolonged period of time of months & years where supply of water falls below demand
