Water cycle behinds with the evaporation of water from oceans, solar energy being the main source.
- evaporation also occurs from lakes or rives

Cycle is made up of three parts:

- Evaporation
- Condensation
- Precipitation
- Collection

Condensation
A
Water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds.

Precipitation
A
Precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that the air cannot hold it anymore. The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in the form as ice crystals in hail or snow or rain.

Collection
A
When water falls back as precipitation, it may end up back into the lakes or ocean. When it ends up on land, it may soak into earth or become ground water that plants and animals drink from. The water cycle starts again from here.
