A
Water currents are the flow of water within the oceans. Currents can flow on the surface or deep within the sea.
Temperature of the water, wind flow, ocean floor topography, and the earths rotation all affect the direction of the currents.
Water currents are essential as they distribute nutrients and the survival of ocean ecosystems.
