A

It was designed to keep the Republican Party mute and powerless by keeping immigrants from gaining citizenship, most immigrants voted republican, and making it illegal to write, publish, speak anything negative about the government; president, etc.

A

His foreign policy was basically one of non interference, but he took steps to defend America from being bullied, for example, he began to build the U.S. Navy. He took this stance because the French foreign ministers demanded a bribe to even negotiate a treaty with the French foreign minister.

A

It was a Turning point in the war b/c the Americans were able to keep the fort and keep the British from capturing Baltimore, it inspired Francis Scott to write the “Defense of Fort McHenry” which would later become the star Spangled banner

  • Native American resistance because the way, the Federalist party, who was against the war, loses popularity and died out. A nuisance and pride America nationalism takes hold.

  • Americans were happy that Monro was willing to stand up and defend the democracy in Latin America, this became our foreign-policy for the next hundred years, prove that America was no longer week but I strong confident nation

A

Before Jackson only white men who are wealthy and owned land could vote, during the election of Jackson voting laws were changed to allow even the common white man the right to vote. You didn’t have to own land, have an education or be wealthy
