  2. Declared/Undeclared
  3. Total (at least one side wants to mobilise all its nation’s populations and resources to secure victory)/Limited (fought mainly by mobilizing only military resources)
  4. Conventional (organized)/Guerilla (small units, hit and run, etc)
  5. Conquest/Liberation

Negative: absence of direct violence
Positive: + elimination of indirect violence

A

Direct: explicit; direct perpetuated (ex: killing; torture; rape)
Indirect: structural (imbedded inequalities) or cultural
