What is a ransom?
Price paid to bring about a release or buy something back; price that covers or pays the cost of something lost.
Why do we need atonement?
We are in a state of enmity with Jehovah, his justice cannot condone that, we have to be brought back in harmony with God.
What is the antitypical fulfillment of atonement day?
God’s redemptive work in behalf of mankind.
How has Jehovah reconciled the world to himself?
The ransom covers everyone who avails themselves of it.
How does the goat of Azazel signify what was accomplished by Jesus sacrifice?
The goat is sent off into the wilderness, it carries away our sins. Our sins would not be called to mind, they would be forgiven.
On what basis could Jehovah deal with imperfect humans?
They were “counted” as righteous. He legally extended them credit on the basis of the ransom that he knew would be paid.
