If you have hypoglycemia symptoms, do the following: Eat or drink 15 to 20 grams of fast-acting carbohydrates. These are sugary foods or drinks without protein or fat that are easily converted to sugar in the body. Try glucose tablets or gel, fruit juice, regular (not diet) soda, honey, or sugary candy.

A

2 diseases have a bidirectional relationship. Inflammation from both diseases results in inflammatory mediators that can worsen periodontitis and also** impair insulin signaling/resistance. **
Due to** impaired wound healing** in diabetics (if uncontrolled), they have 2-3 times high risk of periodontitis.
Periodontal treatment (debridement and OHI) is essential to reduce bacterial load and lower reduction in HbA1c.
