Summarise the menstrual cycle as 3 stages

A

Follicular phase, Day 1-14:
Ant. Pit. release FSH, follicles mature, estrogen is produced

Ovulation phase (Day 14)
Rise in estrogen causes pituitary to release LH = the LH surge, OVULATION occurs

Luteal phase:
Graafian follicle becomes corpus luteum, starts producing progesterone
