Q

What is the medical model?

A

All disease is caused by a biological problem. Can’t explain why we get rapid increases in the incidence of certain diseases in certain populations in the absence of many medical conditions…

Eg. Mental health in under 21 went from 20% to 50%.

Young people are not biologically different to the people of the past.
