What is a hurricane?
A tropical cyclone that originates over warm ocean waters and grows in size and strength of wind speeds greater than 74 miles per hour.
What is a blizzard?
A thunderstorm full of high winds which create wind-blown snow with a visibility of 1/4 mile or less.
What is a tornado?
A funnel shaped cloud with whirling winds
What is a tropical cyclone?
A system that forms in the tropics and is made up of winds that rotates around a center of low air pressure. It brings cloudy, wet weather. Cold air sinks and warm air rises.
What is a thunderstorm?
A small, intense weather system that produces strong winds, heavy rain, lightening and thunder
A hurricane will decrease or loose strength when it does what?
Passes over land because moisture and heat energy is taken away.

It is a tracking system used by Meteorologists that can determine the location and velocity of a storm.
