Intro into congress
A
whether they are allowed to do it by law -if the constitution does not allow congress to pass a certain law, then its out.

A
Most elected officials belong to either the democratic or republic party.

Constituents
A
Meaning the people they represent. The people who vote them in can always vote them out.

How laws are passed
A
A bill must go through both houses of congress to become law. It must be signed by the president. If the president does not want to sign it, he or she can veto it, or turn it down. Congress can then try to override it, but it must have 2/3 majority or else bill dies.
