- 2017 general election, 69% aged over 70 voted Conservative, and 66% of 18–19-year-olds voted Labour – higher voter turnout for right wing party with Scotland’s ageing population and the fact that more older people go to vote than younger people
- 2015 general election, turnout for those under 25 was only 44% – less younger people vote potentially due to antipathy

- 2019 election-day front page from The Sun, which was persuasively titled: “Save Brexit, Save Britain” – owners/editors of newspapers may be courted by politicians
- The Mirror are supporters of Labour and 69% of their buyers also support Labour – people only buy newspapers that represent their views

- 2017 General Election, in which the Conservatives received the majority of their votes (47%) from AB voters and the least from DE voters (38%). Labour got most of their votes from DE voters (47%), and the least from AB voters (37%). – social class plays an influential role on voting
- 2014, a YouGov poll revealed that nine million ABC1 adults considered themselves to be working class and five million C2DE adults said they were middle class. – millions do not understand the social class system in the UK
