- over a third of children aged 10-11 in England are overweight or obese and only 25% are considered to be living in poverty. – not just a low income problem

A
- study undertaken in 2021, which found that children living in disadvantaged housing were 70% more likely to develop asthma severe enough to affect them daily. – poor housing can affect a child’s health
- 1 in 11 children and young people in the UK are living with asthma, and according to a study, if one parent has asthma their child is 25% more likely to have it as well – poor housing is not the only cause of asthma
