What are defined as an Emergency repair?q
1) accident repairs that require Immediate action
2) repairs required at a Large scale emergency
3) repair of any vehicle that has been Placed out of service because of repair
4) repair of any item or part which if not repaired could,
-result in Injury to persons or damage to equipment or could decrease the operating efficiency of the vehicle to a dangerous level
-prevent an emergency vehicle from making an Emergency response
-cause the vehicle to operate in Violation of any law
When apparatus is sent to the shops for repair, where are the logbooks stored?
in quarters
When do towing charges begin?
at the time the towing contractor arrives on scene until apparatus is delivered to a FD facility
When shall an apparatus be towed?
1) cannot be operated safely
2) cannot be operated legally
3) request for field repair has been denied or field mechanic is unable to repair the apparatus
Where shall the apparatus be towed if it is the result of an accident?
Central shops
Where are SCBA air cylinder filling stations located?
20, 49, 66, and 88
What is considered a hazardous material in regards to cylinders?
any cylinder over 40lbs of pressure
An apparatus carrying how many pounds of cylinders including the contents of those cylinders are required to carry shipping papers which must be available in the cab during transport?
