- 12: 1 and 12, 2 and 6, 3 and 4
Multiples
Sequence of numbers found by skip counting or a multiplication by a specific number
* 4,8,12,16…
Opposite Numbers
An integer or rational number with the same absolute value but opposite positive or negative
* -5 and 5 are opposites
Ratio
A way to compare two numbers
* 1:3 or 3 to 12 or 5/12
Reciprocal
The flipped or upside down version of a number
* 1/3 to 3/1
Unit Ratio
A ratio that has a 1
* 1:13 or 1/10
Commutative Property of Addition & Multiplication
The numbers COMMUTE - they can travel
3x6=6x3 or 5+2=2+5
Distributive Property of Multiplication
- They DISTRIBUTE- share what’s on the outside of the parentheses with the inside of the parentheses
3(4+2) = 3x4 = 3x2
7x3 + 7x5 = 7(3+5)
