Interdependent
Depend on each other; consisting of parts that depends on each other.
E.g. Interdependent economies/organizations/relationships
Empirical
Based on experiments or experience rather than ideas or theories.
E.g. An empirical study/ empirical evidence

Perception
An idea, a belief or an image you have as a result of how you see or understand something.
E.g. Cultural self-perception
Presupposition
Something that you believe to be true and use as the beginning of an argument even though it is not proved; The act of believing it is true

Ethnocentrism
Ethnocentrism is judging another culture solely by the values and standards of one’s own culture.
Based on the ideas and believes of one particular culture and using these to judge other cultures.
Inconspicuous
Not attracting attention; not easy to notice

Sound; how we use sound
E.g. Speaking softly or loudly
Kinesics
Face/gestures
The use of body in non-verbal communication

The use of eye contact

Touch; soft/hard

A formal way of saying ‘before this time’.
Pidgin - Pidginized
A simplified speech used for communication between people with different languages.
A language that is formed from a mixture of several languages when speakers of different languages need to talk to each other.
Creolized
(Of a language)
Formerly a pidgin but now the native language of a group of speakers, with consequent enrichment of the vocabulary by borrowing and creating.
