Cultural presuppositions

Cultural presuppositions refers to knowledge, experience, feelings, and opinions we have towards categories of people that we do not regard as members of the cultural communities with which we identify ourselves.
- how are “the others” described?
- how do the deception and interputation of the others tell something about or own values?

Cultural self-perception
A
The ways in which an actor expresses a cultural community as the one he or she identifies with.
The analytical goal of this tool is to gain access to the ways in which the actors understand their own cultural communities.
- what cultural communities does the actor identify with?
- does the actor identify him or herself as distinct from other cultural communities?
- does the actor idolize his or her own cultural community?
