Pseudoevent
An event that is staged primarily so that it can be reported in the media.
Neuralgia
Sharp and paroxysmal pain along the course of a nerve.
Paroxysmal
Any sudden, violent outburst; a fit of violent action or emotion.

The cutting of a nerve, as to relieve neuralgia.

Inordinate
- Not within proper or reasonable limits; immoderate; excessive.
- Unrestrained in conduct, feelings, etc.
- Disorderly, uncontrolled.
- Not regulated, irregular.
Psychosis
- A mental disorder characterized by symptoms, such as delusions or hallucinations, that indicate impaired contact with reality.
- Any severe form of mental disorder.
Monocular
- Having only one eye.
- Of, pertaining to, or for the use of only one eye: “a monocular microscope”.
Monogamous
Of or pertaining to monogamy (marriage with only one person at a time).
Monolithic
- Of or pertaining to a monolith.
- Made of only one stone: “a monolithic column”.
- Consisting of one piece; solid or unbroken.
- Constructed of monoliths or huge blocks of stone.
- Characterized by massiveness, total uniformity, rigidity, invulnerability, etc.
Vivisection
- The action of cutting into or dissecting a living body.
- The practice of subjecting living animals to cutting operations, especially in order to advance physiological and pathological knowledge.
Convivial
- Friendly; agreeable.
- Fond of feasting, drinking, and merry company; jovial.
- Of or befitting a feast; festive.
