What does dominant mean?
The allele that contributes to the phenotype, if one or two copies are present in the genotype.
What does ressesive mean?
The allele that contributes to the phenotype only when two copies of it are presented.
What does genotype mean?
The combination of alleles you inherited from your parents.
What does heredity mean?
The passing of genetic material from parents to offspring.
What does genes mean?
Are segments of DNA found in chromosomes that give instructions for producing a certain characteristic.
What does allele mean?
Different versions of a gene.
What is does incomplete dominance mean?
When each allele and heterozygous individual influence the phenotype, the result is a phenotype that is a blend of the phenotypes of the parents.
What is codominance?
When both alleles in a heterozygous individual contribute to the phenotype.
