What is an erythema?
A superficial reddening of the skin. Result of dilated by irritation blood vessels.
What are bullae?
Large blisters on skin filled with clear fluid.
Koebner phenomenon
The appearance of new skin lesions on previously unaffected skin secondary to trauma.
What is xerosis?
Dry skin
One of the goals of suturing is to approximate. What does that mean?
Bring together the wound margins.
What is Intertriginous skin?
AKA skin folds - are sites in which opposing skin surfaces come into contact while at rest, resulting in chronic skin occlusion.
