What is Immigration?
the process of people establishing homes, and often citizenship, in a country that is not their native country
What is Demographic?
to do with the characteristics of population
What is Labour force growth?
the growth of the “labour force,” or the number of people who can work
What is a Refugee?
a person who seeks refuge in another country because of danger or persecution in their home country
What is Accord?
a formal agreement
What is a Point system?
The point system is a way for Canada to determine who they will accept as immigrants. If an individual is not a refugee or family class applicant, they will have to qualify under the point system.
What is a Policy?
a course or principle of action adopted or proposed by a government, party, business, or individual.
What is a Law?
the system of rules which a particular country or community recognizes as regulating the actions of its members and which it may enforce by the imposition of penalties.
