Rhetorical Question
Asked only for effect or to lay emphasis on some point where no real answer is expected.
Hypophora
Raising one or more questions and then proceeding to answer them, usually at some length. A common usage is to ask the question at the beginning of a paragraph to answer it and then procced to answer it.
Parenthetical Aside
Consists of a word, Phrase, or whole sentence inserted as part of an aside in the middle of the sentence.
Repetition
Literary device that repeats words or phrases a few times to make an Idea clearer.
Interrupted
A sentence that is interrupted by a parenthetical aside.
Colon
The punctuation mark used to divide distinct but related sentence structure components such as clauses where the second elaborates on the first, or to introduce a list, quotation, or speech
Allusion
A brief and indirect reference to a person, place, thing or idea with cultural or historical significance.
Parallelism
Components in a sentence are grammatically the same, or similar in construction, sound, or meaning.
Restatement
The act of Stating something again or differently, especially more clearly/convincingly.
Syntax
A set of rules in Language. Dictates how words from Different parts of Speech are put together into a complete thought.
