Q

Idiosyncratic

A

Highly individualised/peculiar to one person

Kinkaku and Ginkaku stared in awe as the young child fought the seven ninja swordsmen; although he was only alive because of his idiosyncratic method of fighting, it was impressive that anyone, especially someone of his age, was able to fight well against the seven ninja swordsmen

Q

Meretricious

A

Tastelessly showy (attractive with no value beneath the surface)

Itona rolled his eyes at the meretricious relationship. You didn’t even need any Dojutsu to see he was only with her for her riches and didn’t even really like her but nonetheless, she smiled and cuddled him like a couple that was deep in love.

It was so obvious to anyone with eyes. There were so many obvious hints that he was just a gold digger: he rolled his eyes at her when she wasn’t looking at him, his smiles drop off his face whenever she looks away from him, and he was extremely persistent about getting gifts from her. Didn’t she have any friends to point any of this out to her?

Q

Polemic

A

An aggressive argument against a specific opinion (usually in a speech/written format)

Itona’s blood boiled at the polemic report about the dangers that the Uchiha brought to the village. With this level of ignorance, it must have been written by the second Hokage Tobirama Senju when he was still alive

Her garrulous personality didn’t affect his threat perception skills at all. As she talked, he filtered out any unnecessary details, which was almost half of the things she said, while also using his senses and Chakra sensory abilities to detect possible enemies

Q

Anachronism

A

Something that doesn’t fit in its time period

One would agree that it was made hundreds of years ago from its outward appearance and the items inside the house. Minato, however, picked up on one detail: the roof was made of Chakra concealing wooden panels, which had only been created a couple of weeks ago. This anachronism, along with Natsuno’s suspiciously pushy assurances that nobody knew about it confirmed one thing to Minato: This was a trap.

“Listen to me, Itona. I know you’re gonna take this mission seriously anyway, but this mission is genuinely momentous.” Minato sternly addressed Itona.

Itona raised an eyebrow, unimpressed by Minato’s implication that he wouldn’t understand the gravity of the situation. He promptly responded in an apathetic tone, “yeah, Minato Sensei, duh. Kannabi allows the enemy to capitalise on aquaculture which allows them to support all of their forces. We’ve been training for a year, c’mon Sensei, you know I’m not stupid.”

Minato chuckled softly, “ok, I was just checking. I would consider you as… how do I phrase this…” Minato tilted his head up, eyes looking to the right as he thought. His mouth curled into a cheeky smile as he thought of the perfect wording, “I would consider you as not as intellectually advanced as I hoped you were because, if you were, you’d realise I was signalling to you to not do your usual risky manoeuvres.”

Itona rolled his eyes.

Q

Ineffable

A

Too great or extreme to be expressed in words

It was just ineffable… Itona couldn’t believe the speed at which Minato was able to move. He really had been holding back whenever he was with Itona. This speed was basically godly.

In Itona’s thought process, which lasted less than five seconds, Minato had sped through approximately 1500 enemy Ninjas and slaughtered them all.

Minato, after slaughtering all the Shinobi, turned back around to look at Itona. His blue eyes were full of bloodlust. Itona shuddered. He had never seen the usually happy and funny Minato look so downright terrifying. Minato was a monster. Itona laughed at himself, why did he even ever think he was a genius that could be compared to this monster?

Itona didn’t expect the strategy to work but, in his head, it was more than worth a try. Given the seemingly low-risk, high-reward situation, he began launching the soporific Genjutsu. Itona could not have been more mistaken. His idea, although specious, resulted in one of the worst possible outcomes.

Kinkaku, Ginkaku, Han, Roshi, and Kitsuchi all immediately noticed the presence of foreign Chakra and searched out the source immediately and prepared for battle. In the space of one second, Itona’s attempted Jutsu was noticed and ignored and he was located by several fearsome enemies.

That strike. That damn strike. Deleterious in every way. Physically deleterious to Rin, mentally deleterious to Kakashi, emotionally deleterious to Rin’s family, and to Obito that one damn lightning blade was more than deleterious to him physically, mentally and emotionally. He’d never be the same. At least with Itona’s death, he wasn’t there to witness it. That one scene. That one scene of Kakashi standing there with his lightning blade thrust through Rin’s chest was engraved into his eye. He was, for the first time since waking up, glad that he only had one eye - having that scene engraved on both eyes would have been too much for him.

Her dress silky, diaphanous, glistening and beautiful, flowing behind her in the wind and making her resplendent. Itona smirked, she was definitely someone who was elite. Impressing her in the mission and having someone as prestigious as her could definitely not do any harm.

After receiving some tilted heads and confused looks, he explicated his point, “Itona will definitely pass the exam and, after that, he won’t need to come to the academy. Q

Circumlocution

A

The use of many words where fewer would do, especially in a deliberate attempt to be vague or evasive.

He thought back to the current Hokage’s recent speech. When it came to the Uchiha clan, he seemed dismissive and was more than ready to move on from the subject. This was evidenced by his speedy, impassionate speaking, in conjunction with the significant drop in the amount of eye contact with the audience. The Hokage didn’t really care. Or that’s at least what it seemed like. Why did he even mention the Uchiha clan? Did he just want it to seem like he cared about the Uchiha clan? All the clan members who were watching were not impressed at all. Why did he even mention the clan if he didn’t care? He tended to sidestep his words during the speech, keeping his meanings vague through his circumlocution. Maybe he had not made a complete decision on what to do with the Uchiha clan. Itona wasn’t quite sure. All he knew for sure was that the first Hokage was completely supportive of the Uchiha clan and the second Hokage undermined the clan at every possible opportunity.

Q

Candor

A

Honesty, frankness

Minato was quite a candour man, he didn’t tend to mince words; however, brazenly disrespecting the elders, two of the three most influential people in the village, was either ingenious or incredibly stupid

52
Q

Demure

A

Quiet, modest, reserved

Itona remained relatively demure in the classroom, having already learned all of the things being taught and instead deciding to study his own things quietly.

53
Q

Presumptuous

A

“Now, Minato, that was very presumptuous of you,” Koharu scolded Minato, sticking her finger out at him as she leant forward, glaring at Minato and raising her voice slightly as she continued, “it is of no value to us to be sycophantic to someone who is not yet the Hokage. if anything, young man, it should be you seeing that we play a prominent role in deciding who the next Hokage will be. Just because you are the village’s top Ninja does not mean you will be the next Hokage. Minato Namikaze, quite frankly, you need to get off your high horse.” Koharu exhaled loudly, finishing her rant. This had built up within her for a while, Minato had been pushing his luck with the elders over the last few weeks and it had been irritating her more and more every time it happened.

54
Q

Ebulliant

A

Extremely lively and enthusiastic

Although Itona hadn’t been on many missions, he was sure that no matter how many missions he goes on, Fuyuru would always be one of the most respectable people he would meet on a mission: despite the hardships of having to part with all of her friends and family, she still remained ebullient and friendly.

55
Q

Cupidity

A

Greed, desire

Danzo would sacrifice everything for his own cupidity

56
Q

Indefatigable

A

Tirelessly persistent

Although Itona was greatly outmatched and would likely die in this fight, he was indefatigable and would most certainly not go down without giving it everything he has and more.

57
Q

Insipid

A

Dull, boring

“I think you’ve had enough insipid missions for now. I’ve got your first proper mission,” Minato told Itona.

58
Q

Multifarious

A

Having great diversity/variety

The main reason that the seven ninja swordsmen were so scary wasn’t because of individual skill, but because of their multifarious attack style: while you’re reacting to and trying to counter one particular attack coming at you, you’ll get hit with something completely different that requires a completely different way of countering it. Most people simply can’t deal with that at the speeds that the swordsmen do it at.

59
Q

Assiduous

A

Hard-working, diligent

Kirizu cackled to himself, he was truly lucky to have the class he did. Not only were all the students pleasant and delightful, but he also had two students who were bound to transform the ninja world. When Ninja reach their peak, there’s a certain criterion that often decides how high that peak is. Those who are very talented shinobi who end up being at least Kage-level of strength are the born geniuses like Kakashi. Those who are scarily powerful shinobi that are a force to be reckoned with that surpass even the Kage are the assiduous shinobi like Hakuno. Above all, are the downright terrifying shinobi like Minato who are not only born geniuses but are naturally assiduous too, reaching the ultimate peak of their potential. Itona was this type of Shinobi and Kirizu couldn’t even imagine how high Itona’s peak would be.

60
Q

Fatuous

A

Silly, foolish

Itona sighed, although Obito was fatuous from time to time, he usually got his act together when he really needed to, “c’mon, Obito, you’ll be fine and it’s really not every day you get to go on an actual real mission. Get yourself together and get up.”

61
Q

Blithe

A

Carefree and unconcerned

The trust Fuyuru had in Minato and Itona was insane. She was ridiculously blithe despite the situation they were in. It was late at night, and Minato and Itona were both half asleep yet she was being loud and moving around like there wasn’t a ridiculous bounty on her head that many shinobi would abandon their village to obtain.

62
Q

Sybarite

A

A person devoted to pleasure and luxury

I’m a sybarite, alright” Minato laughed, looking up as he admitted it to both himself and Itona before looking back at Itona as he realised Itona was unusually quiet. He was met with Itona looking confused, raising an eyebrow. He then elucidated what sybarite meant, concluding that it was likely the reason for Itona’s confusion, “I basically mean I like living in luxury and so field work isn’t really for me. That might even be a small part of the reason that I worked so hard on the Flying Raijin Jutsu, I can always teleport back home when I’m on a mission into my nice cosy bed.”

63
Q

Exigent

A

Urgent, critical

His panic was ephemeral and he quickly analysed the situation and decided that the most exigent thing was preventing any fatal injury to Fuyura and averting any mobility-affecting injuries to himself

64
Q

Equanimity

A

Composure, the steadiness of mind under stress

(Minato seeing how Itona reacted to the sneak attack) Minato was more than impressed at the equanimity of Itona in this situation. He already knew Itona was undoubtedly an enormous genius but situations like these really made his jaw just drop. Not only did Itona realise the one tiny tell that it was set up, but when attacked from all directions, he immediately focussed on keeping himself able to fight and preventing any real injuries to Fuyuru. Most other shinobi would either have failed to save themselves or the mission but Itona figured out how to do both instantly. Outstanding,

65
Q

Evanescent

A

Fleeting, momentary

Obito’s feelings of joy at finally reuniting with Konoha again were evanescent as he landed on the ground and was met with the two most heartbreaking pieces of information he could ever imagine receiving: his right eye was met with Kakashi’s arm through Rin’s chest, his lightning blade still active and making its ear-piercing sound, and Guruguru Zetsu telling him that Itona has been pronounced dead after he was reported missing and his swords were found shattered with blood on them. Obito paused, unable to handle it all at once. He dissociated for a few seconds, needing to process it all before he finally reacted.

One single tear rolled down his cheek.

His heart was more than broken.

The two people who gave him meaning were both dead, one of them dead in front of him.

What did he have now?

He might as well die.

Everything was gone.

More tears fell as he fell deeper into despair.

No.

He would find a way.

He wouldn’t give up on Itona or Rin.

He’d find a way to bring them back.

No matter what he would find a way.

Nothing could justify the two biggest rays of sunshine being extinguished.

Without them, he didn’t have a reason to live.

He would find a way.

He didn’t care what he had to destroy.

A ninja.

A village.

The shinobi world.

Even hell and heaven themselves, if they existed.

No, heaven didn’t exist. It couldn’t possibly exist after what had just happened to him. Only hell existed and he was in it. As Kakashi started to pull his arm out of Rin’s chest, Obito looked down at the ground, unable to watch it. As he became more and more apoplectic, he felt his Chakra start to swell and grow throughout his body, mostly in his right eye, and he felt Guruguru snap and start to coil itself around him, around his Sharingan. As he started to look back up, another tomoe appeared in his Sharingan before they started spinning, forming a Mangekyou Sharingan. He had read somewhere tha- no. Itona had read somewhere that apparently the Mangekyou Sharingan’s powers are formed by the user’s deepest desire. He supposed he’d find out if it was true. All he wanted now was to leave this hell and return back to Itona and Rin. He watched as Kakashi and Rin fell to the floor. He snapped.

Obito let out an ear-piercing screech, his Chakra increasing exponentially as his despair elevated to higher and higher levels. His thoughts were more rational now. His grief was deep and his sadness and loneliness were perpetual. He glared daggers at the mist shinobi who were looking at him, after his scream. His grief was there. It probably would never go. This was more than a nightmare. He probably would never be able to be the happy, fun Obito again. He lost the two people who made life worth living. That wasn’t the issue now, though. He would deal with it later. If he didn’t, he’d likely collapse and let the mist Ninja kill him; however, he couldn’t do that.

He wanted Kakashi dead right now. He had one job: keep Rin safe. Yet there Kakashi was, lying on the floor unconscious after killing Rin. It wasn’t his fault. He had seen Kakashi’s face, filled with disgrace, anguish, and mortification. He clearly hadn’t intended to do it. Why? What happened? What went wrong? Where was Minato Sensei? All of these questions could wait. He’d find his answers later, perhaps they’d aid his grief when he’s alone. For now… For now, only one thing would make him feel better. Cold. Blooded. Murder.

He heard the Ninja shout something before throwing something. He couldn’t hear them. His own thoughts were louder than anything they could ever say. Although he was trying to remain calm and find an answer through this madness, there was only one thought running through his head. Murder. He realised that the Ninja had thrown Shuriken but it was too late. the Shuriken were all practically touching his body. He couldn’t move out of the way to dodge them. It didn’t matter. No matter how hard they were thrown, no Shuriken would ever give him more pain than he was in now. As they hit his body, he felt nothing. He wasn’t surprised. He readied his body, beginning to run at the mist Shinobi with nothing but slaughter going through his head. As he approached them, he felt slightly better. This was not just for him. It was for them. The mist started this war. It was their fault. They’re directly responsible for Rin’s death now and they’re indirectly responsible for Itona’s death too. They deserved death for Itona and Rin. As his fist collided with the first Shinobi after dodging their attack, a single tear rolled down his face.

They were really gone.

They were dead.

He wouldn’t give up though.

It was always them.

They gave him strength.

Willpower.

He would find a way to bring them back.

It was the least he owed them.

It was always them.

They gave him…

A reason to live.

66
Q

Elucidate

A

To convey/explain something

67
Q

Lucid

A

Clear, easily understood

The meaning behind the speech was lucid: jsdhb jbd

68
Q

Truculent

A

Ready to fight, aggressive

“From Itona’s actions recently, I’d say he’s quite a truculent child. Am I mistaken about that?” Jiraiya calmly questioned those in his office.

69
Q

Enmity

A

Hatred, hostility

70
Q

Lugubrious

A

Looking sad/gloomy

71
Q

Pulchritude

A

Physical beauty

72
Q

Taciturn

A

Silent, not talkative

They really were like night and day: she was delightful and friendly and he was taciturn and cold.

73
Q

Enervate

A

To weaken/exhaust

Itona sighed, there was no way he was surviving this encounter alone. The seven ninja swordsmen of the mist were a globally known group, one of the highest S-ranked opponents. His only objective in this would be to finish his mission. He will keep the bridge under the control of the leaf by holding them back. Hopefully, he would also be able to enervate them throughout their fights, but his hopes were not high at all.

74
Q

Pellucid

A

Easily intelligible, clear

Though he never found the books pellucid, the confusion only ever stirred up more curiosity and passion.

75
Q

Lithe

A

Graceful, flexible, supple

In a lithe manner, Itona leapt above his enemies, twirling in midair gracefully. To the enemies it was a beautiful, elegant act but, to Itona, it was his method of locating everyone spatially. As he landed, he assumed battle position and prepared for the first strike from his enemies.

76
Q

Phlegmatic

A

Uninterested, unresponsive

Itona took a deep breath and decided to be phlegmatic in this situation. He expected Hakuno to be the least friendly to him, in all honesty. Going from the top of the class to second behind someone you have no hope of catching up to would be a hard situation for anyone. A top-tier ninja has a calm and consistent disposition. If he ever wanted to be the strongest ninja of all time, he’d have to be resilient and have no words affect him.

77
Q

Destitute

A

Extremely poor and lacking the means to provide for themselves

78
Q

Egregious

A

outstandingly bad; shocking.

79
Q

Inexorable

A

Incapable of being persuaded

“But, Lord Hokage, we have no real involvement in this current war! We can stay out of it and remain peaceful,” Hiruzen’s aide, Shu, suggested.

Hiruzen flipped him off, returning to staring out of the window, trying to stay calm despite his outrage.

“But, Lord Hoka-“ Shu began

“No. I am not backing down,” Hiruzen snapped, shutting Shu down.

Shu sighed, it was unusual for Hiruzen to be inexorable but, like everyone, Hiruzen found family matters to be a delicate area.

80
Q

Diaphanous

A

Light, airy, transparent

Itona could immediately tell that the woman, Fuyuru, was wealthy. Fuyuru gracefully strolled forwards with a smooth and professional posture, head tilted up with each hand touching the other, but only at the fingertips. Her dress silky, diaphanous, glistening and beautiful, flowing behind her in the wind and making her resplendent. Itona smirked, she was definitely someone who was elite. Impressing her in the mission and having someone as prestigious as her could definitely not do any harm.

81
Q

Propitious

A

Favourable

Minato didn’t care. He really couldn’t care less if it made his likelihood of becoming the next Hokage propitious. He failed. He had failed. Despite all of his talent, he had failed. Miserably.

82
Q

Imperious

A

Commanding, domineering

Minato’s imperious tone caused the whole group to shiver and sit up straight, attention focused on their leader.

83
Q

Fickle

A

Shifting in character, inconsistent

Itona couldn’t believe how fickle Hakuno really was. He watched in disbelief as Hakuno walked around changing his personality and beliefs in an attempt to ingratiate himself.

84
Q

Aquaculture

A

Raising of fish and other aquatic animals for food

85
Q

Soporific

A

Causing sleep or lethargy

86
Q

Veal

A

Meat from a calf or young cow

“I’ll have some veal, if possible,” Minato asked nicely.

87
Q

Superfluous

A

Unnecessary, more than needed

At the academy, he had mostly ignored lesson time and instead read up on medical Ninjutsu in a bunch of books. At this point, he was able to restore basic grazes and scrapes but nothing more. His focus on reading instead of paying attention in class led to him receiving mild teasing. He wasn’t surprised, after all. He could definitely see how it looked as if he was trying to do superfluous things to act better than everyone else but he wasn’t trying to be obnoxious or arrogant, he’d simply rather read books about things he didn’t know while Kirizu Sensei was teaching things he did know.

88
Q

Convivial

A

Friendly, lively, joyful (party)

89
Q

Poignant

A

Deeply affecting, moving

90
Q

Penurious

A

Miserly, stingy

91
Q

Pugnacious

A

Quarrelsome, combative

“Itona. Do you realise how much of a hassle you have been today?” Jiraiya asked in a furious tone. He had been spending the last hour sorting out paperwork about the situation with Itona and Hakuno. He was willing to give Itona the benefit of the doubt when it was just one little scuffle but he couldn’t help but see Itona as pugnacious after hearing about this new situation.

92
Q

Vapid

A

Lacking liveliness, dull

93
Q

Vivacious

A

Lively, sprightly

94
Q

Contrite

A

Pentitent, eager to be forgiven

95
Q

Diffident

A

Shy, quiet, modest

Rin quietly giggled at Obito and then greeted Itona kindly. “Itona? Is that you? I haven’t seen you in ages! How are you?” They had met a couple of months ago when it was Obito’s birthday. Obito had just invited all his friends to his house to have a little party. Itona had mainly hidden during the party as he was quite diffident. Rin had bumped into him as she went to use the bathroom. They ended up talking and got along quite well.

96
Q

Frivolous

A

Of little importance, trifling

97
Q

Impecunious

A

Poor (financially)

98
Q

Dubious

A

Untrustworthy, suspicious

The principal raised an eyebrow, he didn’t care much for the idea of discrimination. He knew the Uchiha clan were discriminated against and, although he thought it was wrong and always tried to fight back against the elders who were pushing the academy to discriminate more against the Uchiha, he usually took a step back as he literally couldn’t do anything about it. This situation, however, was one he could directly intervene in and so he was not planning on holding back on Daikoku. Usually, he would believe the Sensei in any conflict or situation, but Jiraiya had received several complaints about Daikoku, specifically about his treatment of the Uchiha. He thought back to Daikoku’s recollection of events and found it all dubious.

99
Q

Ersatz

A

A replacement, usually inferior

100
Q

Recalcitrant

A

Rebellious/uncooperative (to authority)

Jiraiya raised an eyebrow. Although he wasn’t going to rescind his punishment, he would perhaps not think that Itona was a recalcitrant brat if he knew some context. If Itona really did have valid reasons, he’d at least consider allowing Itona to graduate.

101
Q

Contumacious

A

(especially of a defendant’s behaviour) stubbornly or willfully disobedient to authority.

102
Q

Spurious

A

Not being what it purports to be; false or fake.

Itona couldn’t help but smirk, he knew it. He knew the story was spurious, it was all just too convenient.

103
Q

Austere

A

Severe or strict in manner or attitude.

104
Q

Derelict

A

Neglected, abandoned, in poor condition

105
Q

Exorbitant

A

(of a price or amount charged) unreasonably high.

106
Q

Solipsistic

A

Very self-centred or selfish.

107
Q

Craven

A

Contemptibly lacking in courage; cowardly.

108
Q

Tedious

A

Tiresome or monotonous

109
Q

Effulgent

A

Emanating joy or goodness.

110
Q

Apocryphal

A

Of doubtful authenticity, although widely circulated as being true

He wasn’t sure he bought the apocryphal tale. Yes, Itachi had killed the entire Uchiha clan; however, he knew, firsthand, that the Uchiha clan, more specifically Fugaku Uchiha, wouldn’t be taken down by a lone young child. There was more to the story.

111
Q

Illicit

A

Forbidden by law

112
Q

Explicate

A

Analyse and develop (an idea or principle) in detail.

Jiraiya chuckled, these kids were promising, after all, “astute observation, Genma. Your guys’ case is completely foolproof. I still can’t bring Itona back into the academy but I’ll allow him to take the graduation exam. That should be enough, right?” Jiraiya asked. After receiving some tilted heads and confused looks, he explicated his point, “Itona will definitely pass the exam and, after that, he won’t need to come to the academy. He’ll pass the exam and be a qualified Ninja and everyone will be happy, right?”

113
Q

Perfidious

A

Deceitful and untrustworthy

114
Q

Forlorn

A

Lonely, abandoned, hopeless

115
Q

Amenity

A

An item that increases comfort

Itona stood there, looking at them disbelievingly. He was meant to be dead, too. Maybe Obito was captured and experimented upon like he was. Maybe he was still alive. If he was, Itona would be able to find him easily. Itona smirked as he used his full capabilities, which were way higher than they should have been, to detect Chakra. He found him. “No,” Itona chuckled at … before instructing the other two shinobi to follow him and launching himself back into the cave where he was contained. As he zoomed through the cave, he smiled as he felt the Chakra stronger and stronger. It was Obito’s Chalra. There was no doubt about it. He was here. It was him. He wasn’t dead. He wasn-

Itona’s smile dropped at blinding speeds as he located the source of Obito’s Chalkra. It was coming from the chain(?) that Obito had given him. He (starts crying) grabbed onto the amenity and …

116
Q

Invective

A

An angry verbal attack

Itona laughed in response to the invective. Only weak people allowed rage to consume them. The strong knew the value of keeping a level head in every situation. For example, Natusno could have escaped at several instances in the brawl, yet he was blinded by rage and lost every opportunity.

117
Q

Gormless

A

Lacking sense or initiative; foolish.

The gormless Shinobi had no chance against the duo of Hakuno and Itona. Their relative size in comparison to the duo left them overconfident and sloppy in their manoeuvres. Because of this, the Hyuga and Uchiha rolled through the shinobi with ease.

Itona scoffed, Hakuno was keeping up with his movements completely and, although he hated to admit it, they were a damn good team together. Every exploitable opening on either of them was immediately covered by the other before the enemies could take advantage of them. They were a terrifying team.

118
Q

Glib

A

Good at speaking cleverly in a way to persuade people

His glib sentences manipulated everyone instantly

119
Q

Officious

A

Offering services when neither wanted nor needed

They found his officious nature rather irritating

120
Q

Zealous

A

Fervent, filled with eagerness in pursuit of something

Itona couldn’t believe the young Uchiha. He’d never seen anybody more zealous in his life and he’d spent a year in a war.

121
Q

Fractious

A

Troublesome or irritable

“So you’re that fractious kid in the academy everyone’s talking about, huh?” The mysterious individual chuckled, “pretty impressed you noticed me, I thought I hid myself pretty well.”

122
Q

Latent

A

Hidden but has the possibility to be exposed

“I-Itona…. Make sure you…. you fulfil your…. dream,” Kirizu slowly stammered out, trying to give Itona some last words of inspiration before he passed, “you have… amazing latent potential… y-you can… do i-it. Make sure… the world… knows…. Itona Uchiha,” Kirizu finished as his body went limp, the life draining out of his body.

123
Q

Stentorian

A

Extremely loud

Obito let out an ear-piercing, stentorian screech, his Chakra increasing exponentially as his despair elevated to higher and higher levels.

124
Q

Enamor

A

Be filled with love for

Itona felt bad, honestly. Anyone could see she was completely enamoured by him, yet, to anyone but her, he made it obvious that he found her completely repugnant.

125
Q

Affable

A

Friendly, amiable

Itona took a deep breath, mentally pushed his pride to the side and approached his squad, intending to be completely affable. Hakuno ended up being his best friend and he almost lost him before because he couldn’t put his pride aside. He’d lost his Sensei as a result. He wouldn’t lose anyone again.

126
Q

Veracity

A

Truthfulness, accuracy

Jiraiya smirked, THE Minato Namikaze was advocating for Itona. He’d never heard of anyone getting Minato’s approval before, not even Kakashi. He briefly contemplated Minato’s suggestion, already open to understanding Itona’s point of view after deciding that Daikoku’s version of the story lacked the veracity that he swore it had. Jiraiya shrugged his shoulders before agreeing to Minato’s suggestion, “yeah, that’s fine. There’s gonna be a graduation test in three days. Get Itona to pass that and this situation is resolved for both myself and him too,” Jiraiya laughed. He was more than confident that Itona would pass, he had higher academy results than Kakashi, Sakumo Hatake’s genius son, after all.

127
Q

Cogent

A

Intellectually convincing

“Heh, don’t worry. I’m pretty cogent, after all,” Minato laughed.
