A

4+ very swollen, distorted extremity, pitting > 2.5 cm and lasts for over 2 minutes
3+ noticeably swollen, pitting 1 - 2.5 cm and lasts 1 - 2 minutes
2+ no marked change in the appearance of the extremity, pitting 6 - 12 mm, disappears in 10 - 15 seconds
1+ pitting < 6 mm , disappears rapidly
