Rabies
A contagious fatal virus that causes acute inflammation of the brain! Excessive movements
Meningitis
Inflammation of the meninges caused by viral or bacterial infection ! Persistent headache
Shingles
A painful blistering skin condition due to the varicella virus
Cerebrovascular accident
Sudden death of brain cells due to lack of oxygen caused by blockage in artery to brain. Also known as a stroke! Sudden numbness
Reye’s syndrome
Swelling of liver and brain! Children with chicken pox that are given aspirin gets it ! Diarrhea and vomiting
Poliomyelitis
A viral disease that can affect nerves and can lead to partial or full paralysis
Ataxia
The loss of full control of bodily movements
Cerebral palsy
Tumor that develops in nervous tissues. Occurs in infants and children! Stuff muscles uncontrollable movements
Parkinson’s disease
Disorder of the brain that leads to tremors
Multiple sclerosis
Immune system attacks myelin that covers nerves. Disrupts communication between brain and body ! Numbness of limbs
Dysphagia
Difficulty swallowing
Aphasia
Loss of ability to understand or express speech, caused by brain damage
