Plays social tennis – previous Masters Level tennis champion – has been unable to play for the last year due to hip pain.

Walking cane – wants to be mobile as soon they can. Happy to start mobilising in medical notes.
Physically fit as they used to play social tennis and cognition is fine for a cane.
Gait pattern – normal gait, using walking cane to support contralateral hip. Step through.
We are also avoiding their right tennis elbow arm

Walking aid: walking stick to be used on the affected side, easily transportable and their left wrist is not compromised.
Gait pattern: walking stick steps with affected leg and okay leg follows

Walking aid: knee scooter for left leg – allows non weight bearing and less stress on upper body which will relieve unwanted stress on his/her wrists and won’t be too strenuous considering chronic bronchitis

Walking aid, risk management, gait pattern
Walking aid: seat walker/rollator - mobility, weight distribution in upper body (can lean more on the left side), can use the breaks when going up stairs, can fold when using the car. If pain in knees and back become too much, he can sit down in the on the seat walker until pain subsides.
Risk management: Making sure the house is tidy with know trip hazards
Gait pattern: Normal gait pattern although weight through right side as tolerated.
