Walking aid: forearm crutches are easier on the upper body and make it easier to go upstairs. His back pain and shoulder pain is probably getting worse because he is not moving. He is a nurse which requires a lot of movement so he is fit enough to use forearm crutches.

Gait pattern: Step through, or step too depending on his right shoulder pain.
