60 to 100 beats per minute
Normal body temperature
from 97.8° F (36.5°C) to 99°F (37.2°C) for a healthy adult.
Normal Bp
Systolic lower than 120 mm Hg, diastolic lower than 80 mm Hg
Hypertension ?
systolic blood pressure of 140 mm Hg or more
diastolic blood pressure of 90 mm Hg or more
Hypotension?
readings lower than 90 mm Hg systolic or 60 mm Hg diastolic.
Normal resting respiratory rate
10 to 20 breaths per minute
Tachypnea
any rapid breathing
Bradypnea
abnormally slow breathing
Hyperpnea
Is increased depth of breathing
Diagnostic Procedure
1.clinical examination (medical history, signs & symptoms)
2.Requesting the appropriate test (usually start with the simplest and cheapest)
3.Collecting the specimens/referring the patient for testing
4.Specimen analysis (central labs)
5.Interpreting test results
6.Taking appropriate action (medication, surgery, further tests, etc)
