Mic switch to mask

Establish communications
IAS Mode select
Flight Idle
Condition levers max
Set altitude & alt sel
IAS VMO (max 210 if integrity is in doubt)
Rapid Depressurisation (PM)
Oxygen mask on +100%
Mic switch to mask
Hot mic off
Establish communications
Seatbelt signs on
Squawk 7700
Emergency call to ATC
request QNH
Fight the Fire (on ground)
Fuel/Hyd handle pull
Fuel pumps off
EXTG affected engine (fwd bottle)
start timer (30 secs)
if fire persists:
EXTG affected engine (aft bottle)
Check Fire Det - APU fire
Start timer (7 sec)
Automatic shutdown - confirm (APU RUN light out)
Automatic extinguishing - confirm (APU BTL Arm light out)
If APU BTL Arm or APU FIRE remains iluminated:
EXTG - Press
continue with non-memory items: POST APU AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN
What things would trigger an engine shutdown drill?
Engine Fire
Engine Failure
Feathering above 400’
Low eng oil press (<40 psi)
FADEC FAIL warning (not caution!)
Engine shutdown in flight
Power lever -Flt Idle
Condition Lever - Fuel Off
Alt Feather - Press
Fuel/Hyd handle - pull
Fuel pump - Off
If eng fire:
Extg fwd bottle, start timer, aft after 30 secs
Windshear / GPWS Warning
PF - “GPWS, SET POWER”
Autopilot Disconnect
Level Wings
Confirm power and condition levers max
Pull up to max ROC
Consider firewalling
Smoke - baggage
Masks on +100%
Goggles on (if required)
Mic switch to mask and hot mic off
establish comms
recirc fan off
Press illuminated EXTG switch
fusilage smoke/fire/fumes
Masks on +100%
Goggles on (if required)
Mic switch to mask and hot mic off
establish comms
recirc fan off
Pitch control jam
AP Disengage
Flap & Airspeed maintain
Both pilots attempt to overcome jam
If unable
Pitch disc handle pull and turn
Both pilots attempt control
AP REMAINS OUT
RUD PUSH OFF Switchlight
push the illuminated light
Airspeed 200kts max
Trim runaway
opposite trim
Roll control jam
AP Disengage
Roll disc handle pull and turn 90 deg
both pilots attempt roll control
AP REMAINS OUT
Roll Control malfunction (uncommanded roll)
Opposite roll to hold wings level
If SPLR 1 or 2 stwitchlights illuminated - press
otherwise apply power to increase airspeed (increasing aileron authority?)
ROLL SPLR Caution (Inbd and Outbd)
Splr 1 and 2 - push off
Prop Overspeed
- Airspeed: reduce to ~ 180 knots
Affected engine:
-power lever: flt idle
-Condition lever: start/fx
Alternate feather (if reqd): feather
If prop feathers:
-Engine shutdown
Otherwise:
-Alt feather: norm
condition levers: max
power lever affected eng: operate together
Power lever unaffected eng: as required
-LAND IMMEDIATELY
Non Normal on the ground:
Emergency brake: set
If engine failure -
power levers: flt idle
condition lever (affected): fuel off
fuel/hyd handle: pull
aux pump: off
If engine fire -
engine fire on ground drill
Evacuate
Both power levers - flt idle
Both condition levers - fuel off
both fuel handles - pull
emg lights - on
seat belt signs - off
evacuation: initiate
AC/DC ext pwr/APU: off
Battery master: off
Engine wet start (how many secs?)
10 secs
condition lever: fuel off
Ignition:Off
motor engine for 15 seconds (purge fuel)
start select: off

Hot start / hung start
condition lever: fuel off
If ITT does not immediately decrease -
fuel/hyd handle: pull
ignition: off
motor engine for 15 seconds (purge fuel)
start select: off
Prop ground range advisory light cycling
power levers: advance above flt idle.
Alieron trim runaway
Opposite trim
Airspeed: reduce (reduces alieron authority)
Alieron trim: opposite to runaway
Rudder jam
apply normal force to rudder. If jam clears DO NOT apply opposite rudder immediately and allow aircraft to stabilise first.
If rudder remains jammed:
use roll controls only
airspeed: 1.23 Vs min
RUD HYD #1 / #2 caution
push the illuminated rud 1 / rud 2 switchlight
Airspeed 200kts max
Rudder trim runaway
opposite trim
