What is salience?
It is the thing that stands out the most
How can an image be made salient through?
Placement, such as the top or left Colour Size Focus Distance A combination of those things
What is a reading path
It is a path that is through visual text. From most salient to least salient elements
What are Vector lines
It is a line the leads your eye from one element to another element. The vector line may be visible by arrows, pointing finger or extended arms
What’s a Centre
images here are the main information the margins are secondary
What’s Framing
Framing is borders, discontinuation of colour and shape or even a white space
What’s elements?
In a layout it can be disconnected and marked off from each other or it can be connected. If elements are cut off from each other they are strongly framed
What’s Gaze?
It’s when the subject looks out of the image at the responder.
it can also be offer if the subject is gazing but not looking at the responder.
What’s lighting and colour?
Lighting and colour can create a mood. Shadows can show elements of fear and despair whereas light can show hope and inspiration. Colour can also be symbolic.
