A
light shines into pupil, then into lens by crossing the pupil fluid
then to the retina which contains cones and rods

to know the positioning of limbs and joints

study on cats- found that cats had to modify there brains to jump on a platform
showed they required there visual stimulus to make te movement

6-7 million colour sensitive see fine detail less sensitive to low light used for central and detailed vision

120 million black and white coarse detail more sensitive to low light used for peripheral and night vision
