Q

What’s an opaque object
What happens when visible light waves hit them.
What does the colour of an opaque object depend on.

A

Do not transmit light
When visible light waves hit them, they absorb some wavelengths of light and reflect others.
Depends on which wavelengths of light are reflected (a red apple appears red because the wavelengths corresponding to the red part of the visible spectrum are reflected)

OR because it’s reflecting both red and green light.
