What two things has to happen to light when hitting an opaque object
absorbed or reflected
In opaque objects what colours do we see the ones absorbed or reflected.
i,e there is a banana what happens to all colours
blue is absorbed
green and red are reflected equally so we see yellow
What do transparent and translucent objects do to light which opaque cannot
transmit light through
how do colour filters work
i.e a red colour filter
only transmits red light and absorbs rest
how are secondary colour filters different to primary
secondary filters the two colours that make up the colour aswell as its own
What happens differently to light hitting smooth and rough surfaces
smooth surfaces = specular reflection in single direction
rough surfaces = diffusion reflection - scattered light
