prodrome fever, cough, coryza, conjunctivitis, Koplik spots
then maculopapular rash starts @ head & descends
LAD
sequelae: SSPE, encephalitis, giant cell pneumonia
Measles (rubeola) virus
parotitis, orchitis, aseptic meningitis
can cause sterility
Mumps virus
fever, malaise
then agitation, photophobia, hydrophobia, hypersalivation
then paralysis, coma, death
Rabies virus
abrupt onset flu-like, d/v
high fever, myalgia
progress to DIC, diffuse hemorrhagic shock
high incidence nosocomial infection
Ebola virus
