aid to help people to be virtuous. Emotions can be excess or decifient -> the mean is the perfect balance
What does Aristotle mean by Proper Intention?
People only act virtuous if they know what they are doing, it has to be a thoughtout reasoned choice not impaulsive or done to impress someone

Theoria = comtemplation which is the highest good for humans
1) Reasoning leads to highest quality of life
2) Contemplation = highest good
3) Theoretical Reason = divine
Problem with Theoria
Subjective to Aristotle.
human florushing may equal better virtuous character but most people cannot contemplate like Aristotle wanted
