Marries her in secret, but needs a divorce and permission from Pope
Appoints new archbishop, who annuls the first marriage
The Pope excommunicates King Henry
He establishes the Anglican church
Made supreme ruler and becomes head of the church of England
Thomas More is beheaded for his refusal to attend the wedding
More is beheaded and Anne is beheaded eleven months later
The Pope makes Thomas More a saint

A

Loyola founded the Jesuits in 1540
Recruits zealous missionaries to revive the Catholic church during time of reformation

Many forced to convert by the sword
