PROHIBITED AREA
A Prohibited Area is an area of airspace of defined dimensions within which the flight of aircraft is prohibited.
RESTRICTED AREA
A Restricted Area is an area of airspace of defined dimensions within which the flight of aircraft is restricted in accordance with certain specified conditions.
DANGER AREA

WHAT ALTITUDE SHOULD YOU OVERFLY A BIRD SANCTUARY?
In order to lessen the risk of bird strikes pilots should avoid overflight of such locations below a height of 1500ft.
IF YOU HAVE TO, WHAT SPEED SHOULD OYU FLY THROUGH A BIRD SANCTUARY
80KTS
WHAT IS A HIRTA
HIGH INTENSITY RADIO TRANSMISSION AREA
WHAT CAN HAPPEN IN A HIRTA
- there is radio energy of an intensity
- may cause interference or damage to communications or navigation equipment and may be injurious to health.
- Pilots should be aware that these transmissions can give false indications on navigation and systems monitoring equipment; GPS especially
- indicated AMSL
ALTIMETER SETTING REGION
- To make up for any lack of stations reporting actual QNH,
- the National Meteorological Office calculates the lowest forecast QNH (Regional Pressure Setting) for each hour
MAXIMUM ELEVATION FIGURE
Maximum heighted obstical in that grid, plus 300ft for any unknown obsticle. Not a safety altitude
Gas venting site
- can cause severe turbulence
- advised to avoid them
- shown AMSL
