Vestibular system changes it’s response to accommodate for lost abilities (stable peripheral pathologies)
ex. gaze stability exercises

Q

What is the mechanism for habituation?

A

Q

What is the mechanism for substitution?

A

implement strategies that can replace or compensate for function (stable bilateral and non-vestibular deficits)
ex. strength, ROM, proprio, AD, home modification
