Cause - Burse endolymphatic duct

Diagnostic tool - History or audiology on attack

Management - Conservative, low salt. Medical, beta histines. Surgical, grommets, gentamycin, decompression, vestibular nerve cutting, labyrinthectomy

It takes time for the vestibules to compensate, hence the time frame

Long term effect - Permanent deafness
