Explains dietaries, what are GF, V, VE, etc.
What is a vegan?
A vegan is someone that doesn’t not eat any animal products. This includes, honey, milk, eggs, etc. Only plant based foods.
What is a vegetarian?
A vegetarian is someone that does not eat any meat or fish products.
What is celiac?
A person with celiac becomes extremely sick when ingesting gluten. It is very important to notify the kitchen if this is the case and ensure there is no cross contamination. This includes using a new pair of tongs to grab GF desserts just in case someone used the tongs incorrectly.
What is gluten?
Gluten is a mixture of proteins present in grains. This includes wheat, flour, etc. This does not include oats.
If someone is dairy free what foods can they not have?
If someone is dairy free they are not able to have any milk, butter, cream, yoghurt, etc. They can have eggs.
If someone is a GF vegan what menu items can they have?
GFO Bruschetta, GFO Smashed Avo, GFO Mexican Nacho Bowl, Fruit salad, Overnight Oats, Hot chips, etc.
If someone is a DF vegetarian what menu items can they have?
Any vegan options - Bruschetta, Smashed Avo, Nacho bowl, Fruit salad, Overnight Oats, VE sausage roll, Halloumi wrap with no Halloumi, Hot chips.
Someone that is GF asks what they can have?
Firstly mention that our fryers are completely GF as it is rare and they may just want some chips.
Then let them know of other foods like GFO Nacho bowl, GFO Bruschetta, GFO VCC Cheeseburger, GFO Chicken burger, etc.

What does V mean?

What do you do when you do not know if something is GF, VE, etc.?
Ask the kitchen!
