Exihibits must be handled with great care. For serious offences you should try leave exhibits for the experts to deal with
E: How do elements relate to the scene?
We need to assess whether we can identify any elements of an offence and search for evidence to prove those elements
P: What do we need to consider about our powers at a scene?
Do we have any powers to search, detain or arrest?
O: How do we deal with the offender?
Identify and locate the offender
Read them their rights
Arrest if necessary
Ask the offender for their explanation of events
