How to manage before LOC
A
- give dextrose/glucose
- open window
- pt supine - returns venous BF and restores BP
- give low flow O2

How to manage after LOC
A
- check airway
- assess breathing
- loosen tight clothing around neck
- high flow O2 - 15L/min through NRB mask
- plenty of reassurance on wakening
