Vascularization and innervation Flashcards
1
Q
What are the sensoric innervations of the orbital area?
A
- Superiorly, the supratrochlear, supraoptical, infratrochlear, lacrimal, and dorsal nasal nerve.
- Inferiorly, the infraorbital nerve.
2
Q
What are the motoric innervations of the orbital area?
A
CNVII - orbicularis oris
CNIII - levator palpabrae superioris
sympathetic trunk - superior tarsus
3
Q
Explain briefly about Horner’s syndrome!
A
A lesion on the S.T. which causes ptosis from superior tarsus paralysis, ipsilateral sweat loss, pupillary constriction due to loss of pupillary dilator muscles (sympathetic).
4
Q
What are some secondary effects of Horner’s syndrome?
A
- Vasodilation due to lack of constrictors
- Enophtalmos yang mendisplasikan bola mata ke arah posterior.
