What happens when the OVHD PNL knob is turned to off position
All annunciation lights will be full bright when illuminated

How is emergency access to flight deck prevented
Press INHIB push button within 30 seconds of request or door will unlock
What happens when you press the door INHIB button
Emergency access is prevented for 500 seconds, when the timer concludes the door remains locked
What does pressing the DUMP button on the pressurization panel do
Climbs the cabin to match outside or 12.4k’ at 2000fpm, which ever is higher. Then cabin will climb via natural leak to outside altitude. Packs and recirc fans shutdown
On the ground, what is the AMS bleed priority
AMS priorities the APU on the ground for single engine taxi, engine start, and REF ECS OFF t/o’s
In flight what is the AMS bleed priority for packs
Packs respective side, opposite side, and then APU
In flight you press Bleed 1 push light. What happens? Do you loose Pack 1?
Isolates bleed from engine one.
No, pack 1 supplied via bleed 2 via XBLEED
Smoke in recirc bay. What happens?
Recirc fans commanded off.
When are recirc vans commanded off?
Both packs are commanded off
Dump button pressed
Smoke detected in recirc bay
When will packs be commanded off?
DUMP button pressed
Thrust levers set to MAX
T/O REF ECS OFF and APU BLEED unavailable
What happens (all conditions) when you turn APU switch to off?
What happens if turned back to on?
APU enters 1 min cool down. Bleeds removed immediately, AC power available during cool down if only source of AC power.
If turned to on during the 1 min, APU will continue running.
What does the APU EMER STOP button do?
LIGHTS UP! (White stripe lower half) When pressed
Also closes APU fuel shutoff valve, shutting down APU w/o 1 min cool down.
Red stripe on top half for fire condition
What is the AC BUS TIE priority?
APU, GPU, then IDG
What does the APU GEN button do when pressed??
Lights UP! (White stripe)
Also opens APU generator contact or and isolates the APU gen from the AC BUS TIE, the APU generator is tripped off line and de-excited
What does AC BUS TIES knob do?
Opens bus tie contactor BTC (#) segregating AC BUS (#) from the AC BUS TIE
BATT 1 and 2 are “off”. Are all busses depowered?
No, hot batt bus 1 and 2 powered
What happens when you pull a fire handle?
Associated bleed, fuel, and hydraulic valves close. Under speed logic opens generator line contactor
During fire test what happens?
Aural – Firebell, triple chime
Overhead panel – (6)engine 1&2 fire handles, FWD and AFT cargo smoke, APU fire ext., APU EMER stop all illuminate
EICAS msgs– (5)Eng 1(2) FIRE, APU FIRE, Cargo FWD(AFT) SMOKE
Glareshield EICAS – (4) Master warning(2x) FIRE icon on ITT 1(2)
What do we look for before fire det. Test?
don't see on EICAS: FIRE DET FAIL FIREX FAIL FIREX ARM BTL DISCH
When do speed brakes automatically retract?
“Thrust levers advanced, great or than FLAP 1, or speed drops below 180KIAS”
TLA >60º but not in LSG
What happens when you pull the aileron disc handle
Disconnects system.
Each pilot gets on side aileron, and a set of MFS, ROLL disconnect MSG on EICAS
Capt keeps artificial feel, FO looses it.(the feel that is)
When do the AC fuel pumps turn on automatically?
Ejector output insufficient (engine start or failure), XFEED operations, pump 2 for APU start while on AC power
When do HYD SYS 1(2) pumps run automatically on ground (switch in AUTO)
For takeoff (flaps not 0, thrust levers advanced for t/o, ground speed >50kts)
Pump 2 for single engine taxi (OET) when ENG 1 started and E/P brake released
When do HYD SYS 1(2) pumps run automatically in flight (switch in AUTO)
Low pressure detected, For landing (flaps not 0)
What does HYD 3B in AUTO allow
In flight, on with low pressure.
When does A/I turn on if A/I REF OFF?
Above 1700’agl or 2 minutes of flight
How does the GRND prox G/S INHIB system reset after you push the button?
By climbing above 2000’RA or descending below 30’RA
T/O config button checks what?
(5)E/P brake off, takeoff flaps set, EICAS flap position matches MCDU Takeoff page 2/3 flap setting, “sploilers” retracted and pitch trim in the green band
