ATTCS limitations
Takeoff with ATTCS off is not authorized
Brake temperature limitation
Do not takeoff with brake temperature indicators in the amber range
What are icing conditions (not a limitation per se)
Icing conditions exist when OAT (on the ground/takeoff) or TAT(in flight) is 10° C or less and
- visible moisture in any form is present such as clouds, fog, vis of 1 mi or less, rain, snow, sleet, and ice crystals or
- when operating on ramps, taxiways, or runways where surface snow, ice, standing water, or slush may be ingested by the engines, or freeze on engines, nacelles, or engine sensor probes
Anti-Ice system on ground
The anti-ice system must be activated when the OAT is 10º or less and…
- Icing conditions exist, or
- For takeoff, the ceiling is less than 1700 ft. (JB)
